Ostara Australia’s in-house training programs help participants become job-ready and build confidence, whilst apprenticeships and traineeships provide young people with an opportunity to learn vocational skills while on the job. Off-the-job training courses teaches industry or job specific skills that are necessary to succeed in a job.
Our Employment Consultants can provide expert advice and access to the most appropriate training options to meet your career needs. We provide these training courses, apprenticeships and traineeships in partnership with a number of other training agencies and key employers.

PROGRAMS FOR JOB SEEKERS
Most job seekers find job hunting stressful, challenging and arduous. For the individual with a mental health conditions, it can be even more difficult.
Ostara Australia understands that the typical job seeker with a mental illness faces different challenges than a job seeker that does not have such issues.
Recognising that people are individuals, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach: we listened to job seekers, and developed a range of programs that tackle the most common barriers to employment, including confidence, self-esteem, marketable skills and life issues that may be co-factors in the unemployment cycle.

JOB RETENTION PROGRAM
Ostara Australia’s Job Retention Program is available to an employee who is at risk of losing their job in the immediate future as a result of their injury, disability or health condition. You must have been employed for a minimum of eight hours a week on average over the previous consecutive 13 weeks.
EXTERNAL INDUSTRY TRAINING
Pending job opportunities, we may also assist job seekers with special certificates (eg. Driving Instructor Certificate 4) with external training providers to assist you with the skills necessary to become job ready.
