Starting 1st July 2025, DES will transition to a new program called Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA). This change represents a broader vision for a more inclusive and supportive employment landscape for individuals with disabilities and diverse needs.
According to the Department of Social Services, the name ‘Inclusive Employment Australia’ was chosen to emphasize inclusivity and the program’s commitment to breaking down employment barriers. This transition aims to highlight not only job opportunities but also the importance of collaboration and understanding in the workplace, fostering a truly inclusive environment for all.
What is Inclusive Employment Australia?
Inclusive Employment Australia is a new program designed to support individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions in achieving their career goals through tailored support and inclusive employment practices. This program will replace DES, making it easier for job seekers to find and maintain meaningful employment by focusing on their unique strengths and needs.
